PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS

Since the start of my nursing degree I have joined two professional memberships, the NSW Nurses and Midwives Association and the UNE student nursing society. As a member of both associations, it allows me to keep updated and aware of important issues/news and further provide myself with education and resources to advantage my nursing.

By engaging in my studies, I have been given the opportunity to join professioanl memberships which has enhanced my learning. This includes a program called VSIM, a simulated online program that allowed me to practice my nursing skills, develop my critical thinking/decision-making skills and develop my overall confidence in nursing practice. 

Throughout my nursing career, I plan to join other professional nursing groups/societies to further gain support and guidance that will assist throughout my career as a health professional. While completing my degree, I work as an assistant in nursing (AIN) and have joined and completed several memberships and training days to further my professional education and knowledge.
